Mouldbouls – BE

My project consists of a set of edible bowls made using a bread dough. The process begins with the creation of wooden negatives with a lathe, which are later used to bend a circular sheet of aluminium from which the moulds will be made. The choice of aluminium as a material was dictated by its strength and durability, ensuring that the object retains its structure during baking. These bowls are solid enough to hold hot or cold food. In addition, the use of edible bowls reduces the need to wash and store additional dishes, simplifying the cleaning process and reducing water waste. This connection with nature is reflected in the respect for the environment and the adoption of sustainable practices.
