Mycelia – A Space Travel Diary

A space-travel log of an astronaut working for a private company in an indefinite time, which could range from the present to an uncertain, yet near future. The astronaut has to make an emergency landing on an unknown planet after a malfunction has caused him to lose contact with other human beings.
As he starts exploring the planet, he observes, collects, analyses, draws and writes down his thoughts in his travel-log, a futurable version of the diaries written by the explorers of past centuries.
On this planet, he discovers mushroom-like creatures which have outstanding features that could solve Earth’s big problems, such as climate change, clean energy and water.
The mushroom creatures are peaceful, collaborative and live in symbiosis. Their helpless indigenous lives could be profitable to exploit for human progress, so a dilemma arises…
