Volverup was created by Melina Benetton, an architect and Nicolas Dorosz, an artist. Volverup is a radical green start-up that produces bags and backpacks from recovered tarpaulin of the trucks. It was born within the scope of Progetto Manifattura, hub of the Trentino sustainable economy.
Starting from the serious waste situation in Italy, Volverup decided to recover materials as much as possible, in particular waste material from local companies. Thus they have known the limits and merits of the use of vintage wallpaper, advertising billboards, electrician’s wires, orange PVC mesh for construction site fences… This made it possible, with effort and time, to choose the one that gives the most satisfaction for now: the recovered tarpaulin of the trucks.
In this documentary, Melina Benetton and the communication manager Giorgia Lorenzi will explain us the philosophy of Volverup and will take us into the design process, resource procurement and production of Volverup bags and backpacks. They will also explain us how they involve people, their relationship with craftmanship and how they create an efficient network with the territory and the community to which they belong.
Volverup is where everything is reused and transformed and where people are in the foreground.

Volverup è stata creata da Melina Benetton, architetta e Nicolas Dorosz, artista. Volverup è una start-up radical green che produce borse e zaini con i teloni recuperati dei camion. Nasce grazie al Progetto Manifattura, centro dell’economia sostenibile trentina.
Partendo dalla grave situazione dei rifiuti in Italia, Volverup ha deciso di utilizzare materiali recuparati, in particolare scarti di aziende locali. Così hanno scoperto i limiti e i pregi dell’uso della carta da parati vintage, dei cartelloni pubblicitari, dei fili elettrici, della rete in PVC per le recinzioni dei cantieri… Questo ha permesso, con fatica e tempo, di scegliere quella che per ora dà più soddisfazione: il telone recuperato dei camion.
In questo documentario, Melina Benetton e la responsabile della comunicazione, Giorgia Lorenzi, ci spiegheranno la filosofia di Volverup e ci introdurranno nel processo di progettazione, approvvigionamento delle risorse e produzione di borse e zaini Volverup. Ci spiegheranno anche come coinvolgono le persone, il loro rapporto con l’artigianato e come creare una rete efficiente con il territorio e la comunità di appartenenza.
Volverup è dove tutto viene riutilizzato e trasformato e dove le persone sono in primo piano.

Volverup wurde von Melina Benetton, Architektin, und Nicolas Dorosz, Künstler, entworfen. Volverup ist ein radikal grünes Start-up, das Taschen und Rucksäcke aus recycelten LKW-Planen herstellt. Es entstand dank des Manifattura-Projekts, dem Zentrum der nachhaltigen Wirtschaft des Trentino.
Aufgrund der ernsten Abfallsituation in Italien hat Volverup beschlossen, recycelte Materialien zu verwenden, insbesondere Abfälle lokaler Unternehmen. So entdeckten sie die Grenzen und Vorzüge der Verwendung von Vintage-Tapeten, Werbetafeln, Elektrokabeln, PVC-Netzen für Bauzäune … Dies ermöglichte es, mit Mühe und Zeit diejenige auszuwählen, die am besten geeignet war und jetzt mehr Zufriedenheit bringt: die geborgene LKW-Plane.
In diesem Dokumentarfilm erklären Melina Benetton und die Kommunikationsmanagerin Giorgia Lorenzi die Volverup-Philosophie und führen uns in das Design, die Ressourcenbeschaffung und den Produktionsprozess von Volverup-Taschen und Rucksäcken ein. Sie werden auch erklären, wie sie Menschen einbeziehen, welche Beziehung sie zum Handwerk haben und wie sie ein effizientes Netzwerk mit dem Gebiet und der Gemeinschaft, der sie angehören, aufbauen können.
In Volverup wird alles wiederverwendet und umgewandelt und der Mensch steht im Mittelpunkt.
