«ON SALE» is a study on appearence: a project that reveals how human beings are not so different from vegetables.
and where is this analogy? once peeled they both rot.
In fact, “on sale” is also inevitably, a study of meat (as well as vegetables): the meat that metaphorically represents our bodies, subjected to unattainable standards of beauty, displayed and sold in colourful shop windows; forcing us into a race, anything but straight, between a body unfortunately destined to perish like a peeled potato and an ideal of beauty that is as ephemeral and fleeting as the luminescent patina of Despar tomatoes.
