In my course of Typography and Graphics I have designed an alphabet and its specimen.

Onda is a lowercase alphabet made out of ten elements. Its design is inspired by the movements of ocean waves. The ten elements are based on geometric shapes such as circles, ellipses, rectangles and squares. To form the letters, the elements are turned but not resized, overlapped and flipped. The specimen of onda alphabet has been realized with the Risograph printing technique to achieve the effect of paper faded by sun and salt.

In the specimen I have used two additional colors to the black, which are fluorescent blue and orange. The aesthetic of the specimen respects Onda’s look, which is bold, playful, roundish, dynamic and contemporary.
