Racing wood. A workshop assignment
BA Design Warm-Up – Foundation Course
2023
semester

For the introduction to the wood workshop, we were supposed to build a wooden car in any shape or form we wanted, as long as it had 4 wheels.
I took the VW Golf CL as a reference for my car, as I wanted to make the most basic car I could think of. I cut out the rough shape of the car with a machine, sanded it down to achieve the details. Then I drilled the holes for the wheel axis, as well as the spaces for the wheels, then cut the wheels out of a round piece of wood and sanded them down. I stacked everything together et voila, the car was finished.
