RESI – convey and maintain traditions

The world has become fast-paced, everything is constantly changing and people are not likely to stay where they were born. Although moving and working from different countries has become more accessible and is often a conscious decision, many are still longing for their familiar surroundings, a smell, a sound, a feeling, a little piece of home. This chair is inspired by the rustic Alpine chair, but is facile to assemble and disassemble. It thus serves as a piece of tradition that travels with the person that leaves home. The chair can equally serve as  a memory of a visit to alpine areas. It is meant to help reach out to people from other culture, to connect with them and to transmit values. Overall it should encourage hospitality.
