Sanatorium Bozen bei Greies

The creation of this project was based on the Book “Sanatorium Bozen bei Gries”, a Nursing Home founded in 1901 in South Tyrol that specialized in caring for Lung-patients. It was published in the year 1911 by the Nursing Home and written in the German Language. It functioned as an informative Advertising book for the Institution.

The project is a cold-colored modern record of the original book divided into 2 separate books. A 3x3cm Book holding the original written text is placed into the 13×7,5cm book which contains the images of the original book. The images are white on blue and give a ghostly appearance.

The scene created for this project resembles a cold case.

By positioning the book onto a cushion and putting a magnifying glass next to it the reader will be able to analyze the book record.
