semester
One and the most iconic silver teapot Christopher Dresser produced for James Dixon & Son in 1879, Dresser was one of the most successful and talented British designers of the 19th Century, often considered one of the first industrial designers. When he produced these teapots he had recently returned from a trip to Japan that inspired his future designs. A key feature of this teapot is the striking diamond shape body with a small aperture in the center, alongside the handle and the spout that follow the same inclination of the body creating a very geometrical and essential look in contrast with the Victorian Style prevalent at that time, characterized by the rounded shapes, lots of ornaments and decorations.
