Smokey – the power of not understimating waste

My project aims to reuse existing resources, as not to further burden the condition of our planet, already saturated with production materials. I wanted to decrease the production of new materials, in order to take advantage of the existing resources, which often, once used, reach the end of their function cycle. After some research regarding Bolzano, I chose to work with cigarette stubs. I collected them around the city and, after several boilings with natural ingredients, I combed them and obtained a soft matter, with which I stuffed the pillow. For the external part I matted the material and sewed it together.
