Studio del marchio – Perché vai a teatro?
BA Visual Communication Project
2023
semester
All the world’s a stage is the result of a collaboration between the Cultural Services Center S. Chiara and the Faculty of Design and Arts of the Free University of Bolzano. The goal is to initiate a research project around the visual identity and communication of the theater, and of a cultural institution in general. The logo I created consists of the initials of the Centro Santa Chiara and a black rectangle that cuts across the letters, creating a composition capable of eliciting a certain emotional impact. The rectangle symbolizes a stage, while the letters can be seen as spectators. The space on and around the “stage” can be used in different ways that allow the logo to appear in a variety of proportions. The “Why do you go to the theater?” campaign addresses the viewer directly and is intended to encourage them to think about why they like going to the theater. Viewers can identify with the characters illustrated and fantasize with a hint of irony about the reasons why these characters go to the theater. The logo consists of the initials of the St. Clare Center and a black rectangle that cuts across the letters, creating a composition capable of eliciting a certain emotional impact.
