Assignment: You feel, see and think like your super hero.

My super hero is Paul Rand. For this reason, I deeply analized his works and the way he dedigned. Among his pieces, I was very fascinated by the covers he designed for the magazine “Direction”(1939-1943). This was Rand ‘ most experiment period.

In my super hero magazine, I interpreted some of the “Direction” ‘ covers on a different key.

The topic of the magazine is the impact of thechnology in our society. I wanted to show how much we are dominated by the technological world and its influence on our thought. The title of my work is “2020”, due to the fact that during the loockdown caused by the Covid-19, the addiction to technological devices has grown more than ever.

The theme I addressed took inspiration from ” Psiche e techne. L’uomo nell’età della tecnica.” A book made by the philosopher Umberto Galimberti.
