The Volkswagen Golf Mk1 (1974) – Giorgetto Giugiaro

The Volkswagen Golf Mk1 is an iconic car and has been a game changer. Born as a replacement for the Volkswagen Beetle, it immediately became a success thanks to the Italian designer Giorgetto Giugiaro. With the creation of this car, he gave life to various aesthetic and functional features that made it a key factor for the entry into the market of a new type of car that has been very successful and still is very successful… the Hatchback.
In this project I tried to best represent this motoring icon and its creator, using only a pencil and an eraser without the aid of rulers.
