Time – Pink Floyd

The song I chose for this project is an all time favorite of mine, Time by Pink Floyd.
The atmosphere and long instrumental parts of the song put the listener in a trance-like peacefulness, while they’re at the same time burdened by profound and philosophical lyrics.
The singer talks directly to the listener, in a way predicting a miserable life on the basis of time management in the age of consumerism.
The background image of every page is a patchwork of different graphically translated ways of measuring time and frequencies that can represent sounds or words. The image becomes redundant, but the frequencies represented change slightly in every page.
To contrast the cold and mechanical image and linear typeface used, I designed a bubble display typeface that represents an imperfect protagonist of the song who trudges their way through time.
