Photographic Project – (un)common
BA Visual Communication Project
2020
semester
The particular situation we have experienced has certainly had a strong influence on each of us, both negative and positive. The state of alarm, the pandemic and the following quarantine has changed the concept of everyday life of every person.
In fact, it was hard and still hard to draw a line that separates what is ordinary, common and what is eccentric, singular these days. It was precisely this difficulty the starting point for my photographic project.
This concept of overturning what is or was normal led me to think about how we adapted some old common situations to our new lifestyle: if before Covid19 we used to dress up to go out in the city centre with friends, now we did it to take out the garbage. So I found this, like other situations, an ironic but also careful way to show how we reacted and how we adapted to the quarantine.
