the aim of this photo series of steps and stairs taken in the city center of Bolzano is to emphasise barriers that mostly go unrecognised in our everyday lives. The beauty of historic architecture causes society to easily overlook such barriers, although creating a public environment where all individuals, handicapped and unimpeded, can coexist without difficulties is key to a working urban structure. The photographs are depicted from the blurriest to the clearest to underline the need of awareness towards these obstacles.
