stitching back in what risks to leak out

Untitled, 2022
This piece is divided into two phases. The first one consists of a video-performance where the artist, through medical stitching equipment, proceeds to singularly cut and stitch back up red grapes.
The second phase implies an installative option: the video performance, projected onto a white wall. In front of it, following the arrangement already proposed, the remaining grapes, the tools used by the artist, together with the stitched grapes on a table.
This work was born out of a movement proposed by Rebecca Horn’s Finger Gloves. This piece wants to reverse this movement: stitching back in what risks to leak out.
