What matters is a choose your own way children’s book narrating a love story between a Venetian businessman and a mermaid in the lagoon. The reader discovers the story from the businessman’s perspective and have to dive his way through many climate change related challenges to save his love, his life and Venice. The hard decisions the readers are faced with throughout the story, making this book an interactive story, was a design decision aiming to emerge and include the children’s in the story as to make them feel that they have power to create change when it comes to climate change. 2 possible endings and a magic page that can take you back to the past aims to let the readers reflect on the impact they have as tourists and on the consequences of their choices on the long term. Remember you have the power to write your own story.
