Micro-aggression is an act or a remark that discriminates against one or more members of minority group, either deliberately or by mistake – Oxford Dictionary.
Every day everyone makes actions that are not considered relevant, among these there are also those that we implement on paper, which being a common material used in everyday life, is an ideal subject.
In this piece of art, the sheet of paper is considered as the 2D representation of a human being. The daily actions done on a sheet of paper like hold it in your hand, fold it, crumple it, or even tear it in pieces, have some similarities with the type of action taken in a microaggresion situation.
The two videos, visually accompanying the viewer, have the intent to sensitize people and lead them to create a conversation that starts from common actions and unintentional and goes into detail analyzing their consequences.
