Pulmenti Due Serif is a typewriter-like serif typeface. The geometrical construction and the unbracketed serifs of the typeface reminded me of the letters of alphabetical soup, which inspired the name Pulmenti Due Serif. The word Pulmenti origins in latin and can be translated to “a starter dish” or “soup”. The perfectly round bowls of the font combined with its straight ascenders make it calming to look at, while the high contrast between the letter’s stroke sizes catches the viewer’s eye.
