Summer semester

Starting with a brief look in history of type, students learn to classify typography. This basic knowledge allows to focus on the semantic issues of a typeface. Analyzing typographical relationships students learn to work on information hierarchies in a layout. Technical skills are gained in designing layouts for different kinds of reading experiences, finally applied in an editorial design project.
