The medical book “The Heart” was published in 1960 by the South African medical and tropical scientist Arthur Ignatius. Within the framework of the Teßmann cooperation, the book was renewed and reinterpreted including new illustrations. Divided into four chapters: 1-Love 2-Blood 2-Disease 3-Technology it combines medical content about the heart with contemporary art and social issues around the heart.
