A POSTCARD FROM WAIDBRUCK
This project features a collection of postcards from my hometown Waidbruck, South Tyrol. With only 200 inhabitants, Waidbruck is the smallest village in South Tyrol. Nevertheless, there are numerous postcards depicting the village.
The postcards were sent between the late 19th and early 20th century. During these years, Waidbruck experienced a touristic boom due to its location on one of the most important traffic routes in south tyrol, the Brennerstraße and the Brennerbahnline.
The project consists of a larger booklet, in which different postcards are explored in detail and the reader is given some information about Waidbruck, the Trostburg castle and the history of the village. In addition, the large booklet also contains some pictures of how the village looks today compared to the past.
The smaller red booklet presents the postcards of the collection. Each with front and back and sorted by category.
I also designed some postcards with new photographs and a box that contains all items.
