activating and adapt

A disturbing, synthetic, man- made environment underlines the absurdity and the morbid interaction between humans and plants/ non humans. The performer is guided through its actions by a robotic voice in the background. On one hand the performer is adding more and more objects which act as biotic and non- biotic factors to keep the plant alive but at the same time he/ she is creating a synthetical functioning but unhealthy environment. This should reflect the mesureless arongance and god- like attitude of man kind of nowadays towards their environment and nature. To point out this fact the performer involves the audience into this constructed scene by placing a mirror in front of the „tortured“ plant – the spectators should be able to re ect themselves into the mirror. After this crucial moment the performance ends while the performer is leaving the scene.
