chaosland – flag

This exercise deals with the representation of a fictional space. A flag which represents and embodies a place, a condition or a situation, either an actual or an imaginary one –where disorder reigns supreme. Chaosland!

I chose the rice toss at a wedding as a disorder situation. During the rice toss there is a lot of passion and emotion, a lot of chaos: rice and confetti are everywhere, everyone is celebrating, loud cheers and applause can be heard from all sides. For me, it’s a very positive kind of chaos that definitely needs to be celebrated. I represented and embodied the chaos designing its flag by using the app “A Design Kit”, as only mobile phones were allowed to design the flag.
