Post-it – Coffee

Remnants of a coffee spill like geologic formations.

In his book “Nostalgia”, David Horvitz collects and translates his old digital photographs into text, only to then delete the original archive. Out of the phrases available I chose this text because it resonated with the way I personally observe my surroundings. Thanks to that I was able to create the first post it, only to then make a vector illustration inspired by it.

The digital pattern applied is supposed to remind of either a cloudy sky or a glacial landscape. The analog texture however is applied to the background of the image, and is supposed to represent a very common protective tablecloth used in Italy, which I chose to make the experience of observing a simple object more relatable.
