Elios is a lamppost designed for urban contexts inspired by the functioning and shape of trees. It is an economically and ecologically sustainable lamp, thanks to its ability to self-feed, improve the context in which it is inserted and regulate its light. These functions are possible thanks to the biodynamic concrete structure and solar panels: the first allows to eliminate the polluting elements present in the air by transforming them into neutral elements, the second guarantees the energy independence of Elios. Its particular shape and the high amount of light it produces allow it to perform both as aesthetic and functional lamp. Moreover, the shape of the lamp was conceived starting from the concept “Less material, more light and less pollution” which then became the motto of the project.
