Design Classic – Stingray Electric Bass (1976)

Music Man Stingray, designed by Sterling Ball, has been a very innovative instrument. For the first time, active humbucking pickups were employed in an electric bass, providing the reinforcement of high, middle and low frequencies, with the great result of the general increase of instrument’s volume. That allowed the electric bass to become an even more important protagonist in modern popular music.
