“Element 115” is a magazine about aviation that compliments the craftsmanship of flying with meticulous editorial design. The magazine is structured in 3 sections with different types of articles in the aviation world. It combines bare boned engineering articles with graphic design and evaluates the sustainability of the processes of our greatest engineering marvel.
The symbiosis of man and machine is a continuous theme through out the magazine, and was also the inspiration for the “Element 115”. Moscovium (Element 115) Is a recently discovered radioactive element that is sought to be connected to alien propulsion systems, and other science fiction stories. Through combining Laird Kay’s and my own photography of planes, this magazine is a tribute to the aviation and science fiction community.
