Aegona sans was designed to be a highly recognisable sans typeface with good readability but defined characteristics even in small sizes. In order to do so I compressed the letters horizzontally and vertically, resulting in squared-like shapes and lowered axis. This combination also creates the effect of caps looking taller even if they’re not, making them pop-out.
