In this assignment the goal was to produce a typeface on the basis of one already existing one and doing a related specimen. I started from ITC Officina by Erik Spiekermann and designed my own typeface first creating the shapes with brushes and then adjusting the outlines and making the cuts with a certain consistency. After that came the time for designing the specimen which is a small booklet that explains how the typeface is made, which are its characteristics, how does it look when used in different situations, and all the other fundamental information.
