Jean Rene is a sans serif typeface inspired by French artist JR, whose real name is in fact Jean Rene. It is based on the structure of Joanna MT Std, designed by Eric Gill in 1930-31, which I then modified with Adobe Illustrator and afterwards converted in an OTF file with the Fontself plugin. It is characterized by rounded shapes and low contrast and it has an informal and playful look given by its angled cuts, making it more dynamic but still well readable.
