Giardino d’infanzia
BA Visual Communication Project
2020
semester
During the workshop with the Italian photographer Luca Capuano we were asked to tell an episode of our collective story starting from a plant or a system of plants, through the writing of a biography. A biography intended as a text that contains the overall reconstruction of the life of the plant seen as a social and cultural object. One step of this exercise was to find images that represent the plant in its social and cultural life and then manipulate and transform the material found in order to obtain an artifact.
The result is a small personal biography seen from the point of view of my garden. This biography is inspired by a text of Beatrice Orsini taken from “Giardini nel Tempo”, which tells of the close bond that unites us to the green spaces. This text describes the garden as a place of growth, a space of memory and an expression of one’s own self.
