La quarantena della signora M

In this editorial project, to be printed as a leporello, I decided to tell through text and illustrations an adaptation of a short novel by Aimee Bender, ‘Carestia’, rewriting it with the current quarantine situation as a background. La signora M, our main character, wakes up one morning with seven potatoes in her pot, but she has never bought them and she doesn’t know where they come from. Moreover, these potatoes have the strange habit of growing as human beings. The color blue makes the atmosphere even more surreal and the simple style of the illustrations is similar to the narration one.
