Magazine – What is Istria?

To answer to the question “what is Istria?” a simple sentence is not enough. Apart from being a Croatian region, a small peninsula in the shape of a triangle in the northern Adriatic sea, a touristic destination during the summer, it is much more. To give you a taste of what it is, I gathered testimonials of people that live or lived Istria in some way. In the following pages you will read texts written by individuals who have different ages, points of view, origins and types of connections with Istria. No comments were added – the testimonials say it all. The pictures you will see are taken and chosen to show things that you won’t see in an average touristic booklet.
