Questo è un libro di denuncia. Questo è un libro che si prende lo spazio che per troppo tempo è stato negato alle donne.
“Manuale di storia dell’arte” nasce dall’idea di sottolineare il ruolo subalterno che la donna ha avuto finora in ambito sociale e artistico. I dipinti presenti nel libro sono la rappresentazione maschile della visione che la società ha delle donne. Le frasi sovrapposte alle immagini testimoniano che la disparità di genere e le violenze a cui le donne sono sottoposte sono ancora fortemente attuali.

Le idee su cui si base questo libro sono anti-sessiste, aperte e contro qualsiasi forma di violenza. Siamo convinte che l’uguaglianza di genere debba essere la base di un nuovo tipo di educazione, che punti all’utilizzo consapevole del linguaggio ed al rispetto reciproco indipendentemente da genere, colore della pelle o orientamento sessuale.

This is a book of denunciation and wants to give back the space that for too long has been denied to women.
“Manuale di storia dell’arte” was born from the idea to underline the subordinate role that women have had until now in the social and artistic fields. The paintings showed in the book represent the male perspective regarding women’s role in society. The sentences placed on the images prove that gender inequalities and violence against women are still strongly present today.

We are convinced that gender equality should be the basis of a new kind of education, which aims at the conscious use of language and mutual respect regardless of gender, skin colour or sexual orientation.
