The following animation features a compound interweaving of conversations recorded during an evening on December 13th, 2019. It was initially conceived as a pure exploration of sounds, buzzes, clashes produced around a bonfire, which was lit in the center of a private internal garden in Bolzano. While listening to the raw recording (1h 39’), numerous visions came to mind, and images smoothly merged into one another, in a continuous state of becoming. This animation is not an attempt to give a specific sense to the dialogues recorded, but to create a flow from the fragmented sounds that resulted, so to obtain a whole new narrative. There is an intense stratification of different cultural backgrounds and voices merging into one another. The conversations are developed around and through the fire. The sounds are inevitably interspersed and play with one another. This animation is entirely created using waste materials such as wine, and black colors (mostly charcoal). The conversations are both in German and in Italian.
