Design Classic – Nailclip

The nail clipper as we know it was invented by Chapel Carter in 1896. However, similar tools used to cut or shape finger- nails or toenails can be found in ancient Rome. The advan- tage over the nail scissors is that the pressure of the blade is evenly distributed. Not comparable with nail scissors, where the cutting edges are always loaded on just one side. Our task was to outline an object that we meet in our everyday life.
