Pans are generally guaranteed by the manufacturer to last between 2 and 4 years. Yet after 2 to 4 years, in the majority of the cases, the only thing that is wrong with the pan is the coating. We throw them away for their finishing when the integrity of the object is barely compromised. The finishing can be sandblasted away and underneath emerges a bright new pan, most frequently made out of aluminum. Can we refinish them? Could manufacturers offer a refinishing service?
