Post-it — Tomato

Constellations made from gelatinous seeds of a tomato.

Our assignment was to select one text from David Horvitzs book “Nostalgia” and sketch 5 drawings on post-it. This exercise is about translateing the text into an image. The most appreciated variation would have been the starting point for the next steps. We had to redesign our drawing in a more elaborated version in vector format just with black lines, then a version with the use of digital textures and finally a version with digitalised textures created from different surfaces.

I worked on drawing the gelatinous tomato seeds. For the background  I wanted it to look as if the tomato seeds were dripping on the kitchen floor tiles. All the analog textures I used are textures i found in my kitchen.
