Post-it Tomato

Constellations made from gelatinous seeds of a tomato

For this assignment we got one quote from a book and were asked to draw five sketches of it  on post-its. Then we selected one of the drawings and went on doing a simple line drawing on illustrator. For the final step we worked with digital patterns and patterns we drew on paper, which we later transferred on the drawings.

I worked on the tomato seeds because I found it very interesting to combine the picture of the seeds with the image of star constellations. I added cutlery, tomatoes are usually a part of a meal, and it makes it easier to understand the object.
