Red is a primary color often used in cinematography, in which has many different meanings. It encloses a strong emotional charge: it is often used in films to express a sense of anger, imminent danger, pain, death, love or erotism. Profondo rosso is a collection of film posters from the 30s to the early 2000s. The cataloguing follows a purely graphic order, without taking into account the director, artist or year of production. As you can see, in fact, the posters are ordered based on the presence of the color red. The choice of a graphic aspect as a key to reading is due to the fact that the posters are a purely graphic and impactful media, which in a single image must enclose the entire film.
