”No lassâ la scusse”  ”do not risk your life”

Since the past, the forest has been an important resource for mankind. Nowadays, forestry is gaining in popularity among adults and young people alike. Especially during the pandemic period, people have been able to rediscover the beauty and importance of forest care. At a hobby level, however, this type of activity is often not carried out according to safety criteria and using the appropriate equipment. This is often due to a lack of information, but also to problems related to the structure of the equipment. These include difficult maintenance, difficulty in movement and bulky weight. The aim of this project is to try to improve these protective systems so that people can carry out this activity safely. This is why the name of the project is called ”Scusse”, which in Friulian means bark, the natural protection of trees against external agents. In addition to bark, it also means human skin and safety, underlining the link between man and nature that the project aims to enhance.

Fin dal passato, il bosco ha rappresentato un’ importante risorsa per l’umanità. Al giorno d’oggi, l’attività boschiva sta guadagnando popolarità  tra gli adulti e i giovani. In particolar modo durante il periodo pandemico, la gente ha potuto riscoprire la bellezza e importanza della cura della foresta. A livello hobbistico, però, questo tipo di attività spesso non viene svolta secondo i criteri di sicurezza e con l’attrezzatura adeguata. Spesso ciò è dovuto ad una mancanza d’ informazione, ma anche a problemi legati alla struttura delle attrezzature. Questi includono la difficile manutenzione, la difficoltà nel movimento e il peso ingombrante. Lo scopo di questo progetto è quello di cercare di migliorare questi sistemi di protezione in modo che le persone possano svolgere questa attività in modo sicuro. Ecco perché il nome del progetto si chiama ”Scusse”, che in friulano significa corteccia, la protezione naturale degli alberi contro gli agenti esterni. Oltre a corteccia, significa anche pelle e sicurezza, sottolineando il legame tra uomo e natura che il progetto vuole valorizzare.

Der Wald ist seit jeher eine wichtige Ressource für die Menschheit. Heutzutage erfreut sich die Forstwirtschaft sowohl bei Erwachsenen als auch bei Jugendlichen immer größerer Beliebtheit. Besonders in der Pandemiezeit haben die Menschen die Schönheit und Bedeutung der Waldpflege wiederentdeckt. Im Hobbybereich wird diese Art von Tätigkeit jedoch oft nicht nach Sicherheitskriterien und mit der entsprechenden Ausrüstung durchgeführt.
Das liegt oft an einem Mangel an Informationen, aber auch an Problemen, die mit der Struktur der Ausrüstung zusammenhängen. Dazu gehören die schwierige Wartung, die Schwierigkeit der Bewegung und das sperrige Gewicht. Das Ziel dieses Projekts ist es, diese Schutzsysteme zu verbessern, damit die Menschen diese Tätigkeit sicher ausüben können. Aus diesem Grund heißt das Projekt “Scusse”, was auf Friaulisch “Rinde” bedeutet, der natürliche Schutz der Bäume gegen äußere Einflüsse. Neben Rinde bedeutet es auch menschliche Haut und Sicherheit, was die Verbindung zwischen Mensch und Natur unterstreicht, die das Projekt verbessern will.
