TEGO is an innovative approach to recycling marble waste into modular bathroom tiles. The recycled material consists of marble stones, marble powder, and cement, which are combined to create durable and strong tiles. The modular design allows for flexibility in bathroom design and easy installation. This project not only repurposes waste materials but also provides an eco-friendly and sustainable option for bathroom renovation. The marble waste is provided by the company Lasa Marmo from South Tyrol, which specializes in the extraction of high-quality marble. The prototype tiles are handmade using a combination of Molding, sanding, and 3D printing techniques. This unique approach results in a durable and strong product that is both functional and aesthetically pleasing. With TEGO, not only the company Lasa Marmo is able to find a new use for the waste of their extraction process, but it also creates a new product that can contribute to a more sustainable future.
