The soap holder – Anders und besser

“Anders und besser” is the slogan of this product, that is a soap holder created in workshops for disabled in Latsch and Prad in Val Venosta.This design was created keeping in mind the production of soap that takes place in Latsch, using herbs from their garden.The idea started from the design of the soap mould and the soap shape that is a cylinder with asmall hole in the centre.The soap holder consists in a chestnut block that is then shaped using CNC. Its shape is peculiar because it has a small wooden cylinder in the centre, on the top part where the draining slots arelocated. This detail assures the costumer loyalty to the product because “The soap holder” only fits the soap made in Latsch.The packaging for “The soap holder” is made out of folded paper, so it does not require the use of glue, and it is decorated in the Prad facility with patterns traced with pencils or crayons.The packaging fits onto the product thanks to an outer ridge on the base, that fits the packaging paper and that assures the drained water does not fall into the sink but it is collected there. The residual soap water is easily directed to the outer rim thanks to an internal inclination of the top surface.
