BA Visual Communication Project
2020
semester
Tronchiamola qua! is a project about teaching the children what is deforestation and what causes and consequences it has through a game, which is a reprise of the traditional popular game “Corsa sui mattoni”. Through this game, children are able to understand the causes of deforestation, through the illustration on the field, which are associated to something bad, as they are connected to penalties, but also the meaning of deforestation, through the story of the mascotte, which is Forrest, a tree who lives in the Amazon forest and is cut down by evil figures who aim to destroy the forest to build space for large-scale agriculture and intensive farming. The kids will impersonate the animal who live on forest trees, to emphatize with them and live the experience in first person. After the game, each kids will get a pin with the figures of animals and trees, but also a booklet where they can read the story of the mascotte, but also some advices to keep battling deforestation in their everyday life. The winning team also wins a small paper bag with some seeds to plant their own trees at home.
