Upwind – Design Meets Handicap

Upwind is a wind-light design for keeping the outside friend reunions lightened even in windy days. The base is made out of wood Oak for his colour and stiffness, that gives the perfect feeling of  protection that comes by towers. The chosen glass is Borosilicato or more commonly known as Pyrex, light and resistant is the perfect resemblance of the history and views of Val Venosta.
Easily assemblable without the help of glue or screws, the base is treated with oil for dense wood that highlights the grain of the wood and his beautiful colour associable to the castle towers. The glass light diffuser and wind protection is internally sanded, this aspect joined with the warm colour of the candle flame, gives the perfect calm feeling needed. The set of the two element also transmit the same views and feelings of when you find yourself “lost” in the woods of this astonishing valley.
