The Pasta Party

Food. Hardly any other topic infuriates people as much. But despite all the anger, it never comes to physical violence. Perhaps that’s just as well, because the discussions about food that always arise and are often initiated by Italians, such as too much cream or no cream in the sauce for cabonara or pineapple on pizza, could otherwise certainly cause broken bones in Italy.
It is precisely this conflict, this heated and especially for Italy so appropriate topic, that the Pasta Party takes up. With a little irony, it wants to show Italy’s food and especially pasta culture. What is behind these rules, which are often quite strict for tourists? Is it allowed to eat pasta with a spoon or not? And why is it considered high treason to sprinkle pasta with fish or seafood with cheese?
The Italians’ very strong relationship with food is to be closely examined and investigated, and an understanding of the extremely precise ideas about what can and cannot be done is to be created. The Pasta Party is meant to be a guide for those who have no idea about the real culture of Italy.
